Well this week I had a pretty simple game plan, to try and stay on top of things as much as possible. I usually put most of my homework assignments off until the very last minute which leaves me pressed for time and stressed out, not to mention I usually do homework late at night so procrastination leads to my sleep deprivation problem.

Which brings me to my second goal for the week, to try and get myself on some type of schedule. Since I had virtually nothing to do this summer, which I miss very badly, it didn't matter what time I went to bed or got up in the afternoon. Yes I said afternoon, why should you get up early if you don't have to? But now I'm slowly getting back to reality and once again trying to get back into the swing of things; and since the CD department pretty much set my schedule for me I have to get up early now. If it were up to me I probably wouldn't have any class until at least noon.

Anyway, so far I feel that I'm doing a very good job of staying on top of my homework assignments. I'm actually kinda proud of myself because I've never really been this on top of things. This whole week I've been trying to do my assignments the day they were assigned instead of waiting until the day before they're due. I've found that I like this method a whole lot better because I usually think about the assignment until I get it finished. This method has helped me to reach some peace of mind. This method has also helped out with my sleep deprivation problem because now I'm starting to do my homework as soon as I get home from school instead of waiting until evening or night time.

Thus leading to my next goal for the week, I haven't completely accomplished the goal of getting on schedule but I do feel that I'm on my way. I think I've really shocked my friends a lot these past couple of weeks though. You see, I'm one of those people that are very easily talked into things. So in the past whenever my friends wanted to go out on a school night I always went but now I've been saying: NO, I have school tomorrow and my classes are early!

No isn't a word that I say too often. For example, my parents own a couple of Subway franchises and whenever someone calls in sick I'm usually the one that gets suckered into going and working. I really don't know how I always manage to get elected to work but some how it always seems to happen to me. It actually just happened to me again this evening. My mother just informed me that I get to work tomorrow thus completely ruining the schedule I had planned for tomorrow. That's why I'm setting here now on Saturday night writing my blog before I go out with my friends. But other than that minor set back this has been a good week and I look forward to next week. I'm also looking forward to the Va. Tech game! GO HERD!
